Update on Plane crash: Black boxes recovered: Photos + The Manifest

 The Accident Investigation Bureau has said the two black boxes of the Associated Airlines plane,  carrying the remains of former Governor of Ondo state  Olusegun Agagu and 20 other passengers crashed this morning 4th September 2013 which crashed in Lagos on Thursday, have been recovered.

An aviation official confirmed the plane suffered engine failure after takeoff. It's also been confirmed that at least five passengers of the ill-fated flight survived, (including Agagu's son and son in-law) and have been taken to hospitals, while 14 bodies have been recovered from the crash site.

The Director of Engineering, AIB, Mr. Emmanuel Dialla, said the two black boxes had been retrieved from the accident scene.
Dialla said, “AIB has succeeded in picking the two black boxes, which will give us an insight into what really happened.”
