OOF - Partnership For Africa Event with Anne Welsh

“A Discussion on Furthering Human Security for All”. This session, held at the Crystal Suite of London's Dorchester Hotel was organized by OOF Vice Chair Anne Welsh and hosted by H.E. Olusegun Obasanjo. The discussion allowed key actors from the public and private sectors to collectively engage in ways to translate commitments into action.

This event carried on the momentum of both the OOF Youth Employment summit held at the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa on 29-30 January 2014, and the OOF side session to the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting on “Catalysing Investment in Africa” in New York on 23rd September 2013.

Anne Welsh gave feedback to the audience on the outcome of the highly anticipated OOF April 2014 road show of seven African Countries where the OOF met with Heads of State and other Government representatives. This allowed for a discussion on how the OOF can collaborate with prospective partners, to support development in the Foundation's focus countries for 2014-2017.

Investment in the Human Security and economic empowerment of African people is needed from partners, NGO, Private sector whom we hope will make commitments to form partnership and the OOF hopes to continue to cultivate new relationships in an effort to Advance Human Security for All.
