Zuriel Oduwole visits BBC Focus on Africa as Guest

.
The 2014 year is becoming a busy one for 11 year old Zuriel Oduwole, who in April 2014 hosted her First Lady?s Colloquy on Girls Education in Lagos, and a few days later was listed among the World?s 100 Most Powerful people by New York Business Insiders magazine.

Earlier in January, she was in Mauritius delivering her Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up program to students in that African country, the 4th country after similar successes in Nigeria, Malawi and Tanzania.

Yesterday [May 5th], she was a guest in London on the very influential flagship BBC Focus on Africa program, where she talked succinctly on her reason for taking up the initiative on encouraging child education across the continent, especially the issue of Girls Education. Continue...

She wanted to show parents, government leaders, and others what education can do in the life of a Girl Child, using herself as an example of what can be achieved or accomplished, if a child is educated. Zuriel has interviewed more than 14 Presidents and Prime Ministers in the last 16 months, more than most seasoned professional journalists have, to talk about the issues affecting children?s education and their development.

Her Dream Up, Speak Up, Stand Up program heads to East Africa next.
