Lupita Nyong'o has acquired the rights to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 'Americanah'

After an Oscar-winning performance, loads of attention from the fashion world, and the gain of worldwide popularity, the American/Kenyan Actress, Lupita Nyong'o has acquired the film rights to Americanah, the third novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (you might recognise her from Beyoncé's 'Flawless', in which her Ted talk was prominently featured, or as the writer of Half of a Yellow Sun).

This is super exciting, because both Adichie and Nyong'o are incredibly talented women, and any collaboration between the two is going to be AMAZING.

Earlier this year, Adichie actually hinted that this could happen, saying in an interview that "Lupita was a very early fan of Americanah.
