Half of a Yellow Sun movie finally approved by NFVCB

Highly controversial film, ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ has been approved by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) after four months of delay.

According to the board’s corporate Affairs representative, Caesar Kagho, Half Of A Yellow Sun’s late approval was attributed to the NFVCB’s worry over the storyline of the movie, believing it could incite unrest in some parts of the country.

The movie which stars Hollywood Actors, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Onyeka Onwenu, and O.C Ukeje is based on the novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, was approved alongside 76 others for viewership in Nigeria has been rated ’18′.
